Dr. Jeffrey Yang (pronounced “young”) is a native of thePacific Northwest where he completed his undergraduate training at the University of Washington earning his Bachelor’s degree in Biology. He continued his education completing his Doctorate degree from the Tufts University School of Dental Medicine in Boston, Massachusetts in 2007. He then completed a General Practice Residency at the Portland Veterans Affairs Medical Center where he practiced both restorative and surgical dentistry while gaining valuable experience in the treatment of medically compromised patients.
To further his knowledge in periodontics and implant dentistry, he completed a three-year Advanced Education in Periodontics and Implantology at the Oregon Health and Science University (OHSU) in Portland, Oregon where he also served as the Chief Resident. He is heavily involved in dental continuing education, including lectures to study clubs for dentists and dental hygienist. He has taught periodontics and implant dentistry at the Oregon Health and Science University and currently teaches the postgraduate periodontal residents at the University of California San Francisco. He also serves as a faculty member for the Academy of Minimally Invasive Implantology, teaching dentists and specialists on new techniques that minimize trauma and shorten healing time.
Dr. Jeffrey Yang is Board Certified in Periodontology and Dental Implant Surgery by the American Board of Periodontology. This certification is the highest level of distinction awarded to private practitioners in the field of periodontics and dental implants. He specializes in the treatment of periodontal disease, oral implantology, periodontal plastic surgery, and regenerative periodontal therapies including soft and hard tissue augmentation procedures.
Although he is dedicated to his profession, his identity is centered in Christ and takes great joy in serving as the Director of Youth Ministry at a local church. He spends most of his spare time volunteering at the church with his wife Kelly spreading the gospel to local young teens.
